The Senior Machinist and CNC Programmer position for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for leading machine shop operations in the fabrication of prototype and low-volume production parts for R&D and new product development programs.
This position is part of the Hematology R&D Hardware department located in Miami, Florida. Work associated with this position will require on-site presence Monday-Friday. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
As a Senior Machinist and CNC Programmer, you will be a part of the Hematology R&D Mechanical Design Team, report to Nicolas Zamora, and be responsible for prototyping and fabricating low-volume production parts for new and existing hematology instrument products. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
The essential requirements of the job include:
Associate's Degree with preferably 8-10 years of experience operating and maintaining CNC and manual mill and lathe machines.
Proficiency in MS Office and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) software for computer-aided manufacturing, including G-code, Solidworks CAM, MasterCAM, etc.
Experience measuring parts and performing first-article inspections using GD&T and measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauge blocks, pins, etc.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Sheet-metal fabrication capabilities including plasma jet (or laser) cutting and bending via hydraulic and/or manual press brake equipment.
Experience with lapping and grinding
Experience operating rapid prototyping machines, including SLA and FDM 3D printers.
