Overview:
The Support Technician provides desktop support on a global level for IDT employees, while also serving as the single point of contact for all incoming IT requests.
Essential Functions:
- Route incoming incidents and service requests to the appropriate functional areas within IT in a timely manner
- Install, troubleshoot and repair a variety of hardware and software platforms via phone, web and in-person channels
- Perform basic networking to local desktop computers and other network enabled devices
- Support and maintain production printing devices including laser, thermal transfer and direct thermal technologies
- Configure and support company owned mobile devices for both on and off site users
- Provide a high quality customer services experience when interacting with users
- Empower users via product and/or process training whenever possible
- Help maintain the tracking and disposal of capitalized IT hardware
- Configure and maintain A/V equipment for conference rooms and on/off site presentations

Qualifications:
Education/Licensure:
- High School diploma required
- Associate’s degree or BS in Information Systems or related field preferred
Professional Experience:
- Two or three years of IT service delivery preferred

- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory

Visual Acuity:
- Work requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to read pertinent printed material and distinguish colors.
- Ability to prepare and read written documentation; use of computer.
