Accountant

Job Title:  Accountant                     

Location:  Dandy Corporate Headquarters, Sayre, PA

Reports to: Assistant Controller

Job Summary:  Computes, classifies, and records data for various accounts of the Williams Companies.   May include any combination or routine calculating, posting, verifying to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records, and may also check the figures, calculations and postings of others.  Job also includes financial reporting, analysis activities, and other business and will assist in the monthly and yearly closes and other tasks related to the operating of the companies. 
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

1. Perform convenience store audits on a regular basis. 
2. Perform various account reconciliations and accounting entries. 
3. Assist in month and year end closes, and related supporting schedules.
4. Complete daily and monthly reconciliations of various receivable accounts. 
5. Responsibility for certain general ledger accounts.
6. Assist in various projects and analysis as assigned.
7. Other business-related requirements of the Companies as assigned.
8. Provide Licensing support.

Education and Training Required:

1. Associate or Bachelor Business Degree in Accounting.
2. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other Accounting/Finance software.

Experience Requirements:

1. A minimum of three years of experience in related areas preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.

Special Requirements:

1. Must possess valid driver’s license.
2. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology.
3. Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and their application.
4. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.
5. Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, banking and the analysis of financial data.
6. Knowledge of the principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including needs assessments, quality standards of service and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Physical Demands:

1. Requires walking around spacious indoor complex
2. Occasional lifting of paper boxes and file boxes.
