What are the responsibilities and job description for the Freight Cashier Logistics position at DANESI USA?
Freight Cashier needed to receive, review, and process documentation, work through an assigned base of accounts / files, process documents and information through the established company systems, ensuring preparation according to regulatory requirements and customer commitments; accounts are usually complex or by direction of the team leader or supervisor.
- 1 years of Freight Forwarding experience preferred
- Work with various steamship lines MSC, Hapag Lloyed, CMA, Maersk, etc....
- Receive and prepare documentation for courier pick up.
- Send emails to customers for shipment status.
- Proficiency in using computers and software Outlook, Excel, etc….
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Obtain government agency releases as appropriate, arranging delivery, receipt, and invoicing the account; accounts are technical or complex in nature.
- Identify and complete transaction tasks that require special handling or expediting to produce compliant processing.
- Investigate reason and advise supervisor of any problems or irregularities.
- Continue to improve understanding and knowledge of the established system, in both its basic and advanced features.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers as well as vendors.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Work well in a team environment and assist other co-workers when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
