Danfoss is seeking a hands-on, flexible Lab (Electrical) Technician to join our team. You will work in a team-oriented environment and will have exposure to many different processes and tasks.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Provide trouble shooting and related shop support using advanced qualitytools.
- Carry out special projects directed toward overcoming manufacturing problems considering lean manufacturingconcepts.
- Prepares standard work, process flow diagrams, time studies, process FMEAs, capability studies and control plans in support of new product releases, cost reductions and productmodifications.
- Uses interdisciplinary tools such 8D Problem Solving and Value Stream Mapping to find cost effectivesolutions.
- Specifies and develops the tooling and/or equipment necessary to manufacture a product with respect to the cost, quality, and ease of manufacturingobjectives.
- Responsible for determining the necessary sequence of operations needed to meet manufacturing, quality and costrequirements.
- Identifies capital equipment requirements and prepares Return of Investment (ROI) calculations to justifyexpenditures.
- Manages capital investmentprojects.
- Trains personnel in new processes, methods, and use of equipment.
- Reports progress on projects and activities in an effective manner to peers, management and customers.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
- 2 years experience implementing manufacturing process or product improvements using advanced quality tools and/or lean manufacturing concepts.
- 1 year experience with finance, capital appropriations, and budgeting practices.
- Experience may be gained concurrently.
- Permanent U.S. work authorization.
