Job Description
The planner’s primary role is to proactively satisfy internal & external customer demand in an efficient and timely manner while monitoring internal networking capital goals. The planner’s main focus should be on the future, taking control of the orders to be executed in the next 1 – 5 weeks, while monitoring the forecast and order activity over the planning horizon. Planners are responsible for setting up a realistic production plan based on the inputs and outputs of the forecast, supply chain, and execution capabilities, & then communicating that plan to all stakeholders without supervision approval. This will require independent judgement and discretion to ensure that the business operations and performance targets are achieved.
Job Responsibilities
- Participation in monthly BA Sales and Operations Planning sessions
- Managing and correcting forecasting consumption errors
- Supply Chain and Operational Business Model changes
- As necessary, allocation management for capacity constrained manufacturing resources
- Production order management according to fulfillment model strategies, operational capacity/flexibility and raw material availability to achieve stretched targets on OTD, DOI, Productivity
- Perform ATP check on incoming customer orders
- Maintain relevant Master Data and parameter settings as well as control the demand/flow of materials using SAP
- Create performance KPI's and business analysis using BW
- Input for configuring the demand plan
- Complimentary office tools supporting work
- Manage and document premium freight cases with appropriate approval workflow using Premium Freight Tracker (MS SharePoint)
- Complimentary web based tools (i.e. freight carrier portals for track and trace) supporting the work
- Work with operations to continuously improve lead time capabilities
- Responsible for establishing and managing implementation dates of required engineering design changes
- Communicate implementation schedules and changes with all impacted organizational parities - External & Internal
- Create implementation schedule for assigned product lines
- Responsible for the PMR elements impacting Supply Chain
- Establish Supply Chain material flows for Danfoss PS manufacturing localization projects
- Creating and implementing all PFEP activities for defined fulfillment models for SEM & FG materials
- Ensuring that SAP Parameters are defined to support the TROC Inventory Targets
- Managing the flow of materials to ensure compliance to TROC Inventory Levels
Background & Skills
- Have or pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field
- Proven problem solving skills and excellent customer service skills
- Strong decision making skills
- Good Communications Skills (Oral and Written)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Team Player\Building positive working relationships
- Experience with an ERP/Business system is required (preferable SAP)
