We have an immediate opportunity for a Process Technician to join us at our diverse team. The Process Technician will be responsible for the assembly process in an assembly cell from set-up to testing.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Monitors & trouble shoots electrical & mechanical equipment used in the assembly process to build hydrostatic pumps, motors and components
- Provide line support for the assembly cell and is the next level of escalation after the cell expert for manufacturing issues related to safety and process quality
- Assist in the daily activities of implementing process changes and problem solving on the shop floor
- Assists in the prove-out of new processes and process changes by gathering data, making observations about the process, and communicating ideas to improve results
- Works closely with the Process Engineer
Background & Skills
The ideal candidate possesses these skills.
- Minimum of an AA degree or equivalent from Technical School and 6 months related experience on Danfoss products
- Desire for 4-year degree in Industrial Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mfg. Engineering or ME/AgE
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes
- Working knowledge of quality/problem solving tools (PPAP, Capability studies, PFMEA, Gauge R&R, 4-Step, 8D, Fishbone)
- Computer skills, (Microsoft Office, PLC, test stand)
- Ability to read and understand hydraulic & electrical schematics
- Familiarity with TPM and SMED techniques
- Customer Service mindset and the ability to stay calm under pressure are necessary traits
- Outstanding safety record and approach to behavioral based safety using proper PPE are requirements
