ABOUT THE JOB:
At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire an Engineering Manager based in our Bridgeton, New Jersey facility. In this role, you will be a member of the plant leadership team, and will be responsible to support all strategic, operational and policy aspects of the Bridgeton plant in the areas of safety, quality, performance, management, and organizational objectives. You will be the main point of contact for all capital projects for the plant.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating project execution for all current Processing, Packaging, Building and Utilities projects.
- Launching and executing the 2024 capital project plan.
- Building scope of work and preliminary budgets for new potential projects.
- Preparing the Capital Masterplan with the leadership team.
- Managing the plant’s CAPEX budget actuals and forecast.
- Coordinating and leading multi-functional teams.
- Creating, designing and evaluating call for tender documents.
- Working with the procurement team to align on priorities and contract negotiations.
- Editing and advising on Danone’s Standards.
- Serving as a technical alignment leader during bidding processes.
- Building capabilities within engineering team.
- Engineering responsibility for Bridgeton plant.
About you
ABOUT YOU:
- You have a bachelor's degree in an engineering, science or mathematics discipline from an accredited College or University and have a minimum two (2) to five (5) years Engineering Project experience required, preferably in CPG beverage/food manufacturing, required. A Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification(s) a plus.
- You have experience managing capital projects, CAPEX forecasting and payback calculations.
- You have experience with development of Call for Tender documents including, Technical Specifications, Commercial Specifications and Standards
- You have project management experience and are proficient using MS Office programs, MS Project, and AutoCAD, required.
- You must be exceptionally organized and self-disciplined to accommodate the management of concurrent multiple projects.
- You are highly self-directed and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- You understand the essential value of engaging and actively communicating appropriate information to all levels involved with and/or affected by the project.
- You have excellent conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
- You have knowledge on the following:
- Reading, modifying, process flow and process instrumentation drawings.
- Design, Calculation, Implementation and Start Up of CIP (Clean in Place) Systems.
- The design, calculation and evaluation of Ultra Clean Tanks Manufacturing
- Form-Fill-Seal and Preformed packaging equipment from filling to palletizing.
- Utility/facilities/building and grounds management including Ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Milk chemistry, milk processing and PMO
- Process Instrumentation for Receiving, Storage, Standardization, Homogenization, Pasteurization, Fermentation; and Fermented Products Culture dosing.
