About the Role
As a Pipeline Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and operating facilities including pipelines, valves, filters, pumps, gas compressors, storage tanks, and pump station equipment in a reliable and efficient manner while complying with the company's procedures and regulatory requirements.
You will conduct damage prevention activities, including pipeline patrols, one-calls, locating and marking pipelines, and inspecting line crossings, excavations, and other activities affecting the pipeline.
Moreover, you will be responsible for pigging activities, maintaining knowledge of regulatory requirements, planning and organizing responsibilities, coordinating with employees and contractors, and actively participating in safety programs and initiatives.
You will also provide on-call support on a rotating basis and comply with the company's safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
- Facility Maintenance : Inspect, maintain, and operate facilities including pipelines, valves, filters, pumps, gas compressors, storage tanks, and pump station equipment.
- Damage Prevention : Conduct damage prevention activities such as pipeline patrols, one-calls, and inspecting line crossings and excavations.
- Pigging Activities : Responsible for pigging activities.
- Regulatory Compliance : Maintain working knowledge of regulatory requirements and perform required tasks.
- Coordination : Plan, organize, prioritize responsibilities, and coordinate work with employees and contractors.
- Communication : Coordinate and communicate with outside parties including landowners, public agencies, contractors, utilities, and other pipeline operators.
- Safety Leadership : Actively participate and provide leadership in safety programs and initiatives.
- On-Call Support : Provide on-call support for areas of responsibility on a rotating basis.
- Safety Compliance : Comply with company's safety policies and procedures.
- Energy Isolation : Perform energy isolation lockout / tagout procedures (LOTO).
Skills and Competencies
- Valid Driver's License : Demonstrated safe driving record.
- Organizational Skills : Excellent organizational skills.
- Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a group environment.
- Self-Starter : Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
- Mechanical Aptitude : Ability to learn and perform operation and maintenance tasks associated with various types of facilities and equipment.
- Technical Proficiency : Proficiency with computers, including MS Office applications such as Excel and Outlook, and other computer-based work training, time reporting, expense reporting, and online work applications and documentation.
Qualifications
- Experience : 1 year of relevant experience.
- Computer Skills : Strong computer skills.
- Team Environment : Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as by self without direct supervision.
- Education : High School Grad or GED; some college or technical training preferred.
- Driver's License : Valid U.S. Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
