As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for processing all invoices received for payments and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. This will involve, compiling and maintaining accounts payable records, while also providing clerical and administrative support as needed.

Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities:
- Full cycle AP processing including coding, invoice entry, posting and weekly disbursement runs.
- Ensure the processing of payments is timely and accurate.
- Investigate and resolve all outstanding vendor and payable issues.
- Manage all accounts payable, vendor invoices, three-way matching, ACH payments and live checks.
- Ensures utmost confidentiality of employee claims submitted for reimbursement.
- Understand and maintain effective internal controls while ensuring transactions follow company policies and are properly reflected on the financial statements.
- Work with management concerning documentation for expenditures and approvals for payments.
- Recommend and implement changes to improve the accounting systems, productivity, accuracy, and efficiency within accounts payable.
- Works with others in the Finance department to ensure ledgers, sub-ledgers, and reports are in balance and reconciled to other financial data.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Accounts Payable Specialist Skills and Attributes:

Accounts Payable Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Business, Finance or a related field.
- Intention to pursue an accounting designation would be an asset.
- 3 – 5 years accounts payable experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Experience with Great Plains (Dynamics GP) would be a plus.
- Proficient knowledge of general accounting principles.
- Exposure to multi-currency is a plus.
