Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in social studies for 7th and 8th grade students.
Implement universal design for learning principles to meet the diverse needs of all learners in the classroom.
Utilize trauma-informed practices to create a safe and supportive environment conducive to learning.
Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
Hold students to high standards of academic achievement and behavior.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement an interdisciplinary curriculum that integrates social studies with other subject areas.
Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction accordingly.
Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching practices and stay current with educational research.
