Role Description
This is a part-time on-site position as a Preschool Teacher located in Darien, IL. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for facilitating a nurturing and educational environment for preschool-age children. The role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, fostering social and emotional development, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the children.
Qualifications
· Previous experience working with preschool-age children
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
· A passion for working with children and fostering their development
· Ability to create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
· Basic understanding of child development milestones
· Valid CPR and First Aid certifications (or ability to get by start date)
· Must be at least 19 years of age.
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 60 semester hours of credits from an accredited college or university with 6 credit hours in early childhood
· Additional certifications or coursework in early childhood education is a plus
· Must commit to staff meetings, special events and professional development (15 hours per year)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
License/Certification:
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
