What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Allocation position at Darigold, Inc.?
Darigold is seeking an Inventory Allocation team member responsible for tactical inventory management at Darigold’s Ingredients Division plants and 3rd party warehouses. This position works closely with Supply Chain and Ingredients Sales to coordinate movement and allocation of inventory with a focus on inventory rotation, accuracy, and execution of Sales planning.
What You Will Do
- Rotates inventory according to Darigold’s policies, communicating with Customer Service to balance order volume through multiple warehouses.
- Works with Planning, Supply Chain and Customer Service team to ensure product is available where it is needed.
- Is the first point of contact for Darigold’s 3rd party warehouse on inventory movement activities.
- Works closely with Darigold’s 3rd party and In-house logistics providers.
- Allocates/picks specific inventory to sales orders shipping from outside warehouses.
- Reports on Darigold’s bulk ingredient inventory weekly through customized reports for specific users.
- Participates in sales, production, and supply chain planning process related to setting and driving inventory targets.
- Ensures accuracy of inventory held at 3rd party warehouses and reconciles differences.
- Responsible for resolving damaged inventory issues with outside warehouses.
- Works closely with production facility teams on expected outbound shipments, quality control designations and inventory accuracy.
- Maintains professional working relationships with co-workers, customers, and warehouse vendors.
- Monthly inventory reconciliation of warehouses assigned.

What You Bring:
- Bachelors’ degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- 1-2 years inventory management experience required
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills. Must be comfortable creating pivot tables and using lookup functions.
- Effective interpersonal skills
Nice to Have’s
- Highly accurate and detail focused.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Conveys information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents.
- Must enjoy detail-oriented work, be organized, and have proven time management skills.
- Experience utilizing Oracle, SAP or other ERP software preferred, not required.
- Ability to work well both as an individual and in a team environment.
