We're seeking a skilled Network Administrator for a unique, tailored mission.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manage IT system Infrastructure and any processes related to those systems.
• Create and manage user access across the IT Infrastructure and provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Support a variety of operating systems including Windows (server and client and Linux/UNIX).  Configure and manage UNIX/Linux and windows operating systems, install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating system enhancements.
• Manage daily IT systems configuration and operation activities; Provide support installing and configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer systems within the IT infrastructure.
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices etc.  Manage and maintain a circularized infrastructure of hosts and virtual machines.
• Administer storage devices, install, build, and maintain standard server configurations, manage Windows environments, maintain and support virtual Infrastructure, administer and update Linux/Unix environments, configure, manage and administer enterprise level network storage devices.
• Administer and secure network switching and routing devices; Manage and maintain network security through the use of access controls and path management.
• Build, configure, and maintain storage arrays and system back-up and recovery jobs.   

OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:

• This position operates on a standard 8 hour schedule Monday - Friday.

TRAVEL:

• This position does not anticipate any required travel.

Qualifications

CLEARANCE:

• Active Top Secret / SCI clearance with polygraph
• ***TS/SCI required upon application for initial consideration.  

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree in Network Administration or related discipline is required; two (2) years of additional system administration experience may be substituted for a Master's degree; nine (9) years of additional network administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

CERTIFICATION(S): 

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), NetApp Certified Storage Associate (NCSA) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certifications are required. 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Five (5) years of Network Administration experience.  

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Background in applied Information Technology and/or Network Security 
• MA/MS in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, Cybersecurity or related disciplines 
• Works well in a small team environment 
• Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously
