We are looking for a Producer to join our fast-growing agency. Reporting directly to the Executive Producer, client-facing and managing multiple Production Coordinators and projects. Maximizes profitability for each project while achieving the highest quality creative product. Shepherd for individual projects on a day-to-day basis, handling all logistical and creative needs as well as supporting EP in any way needed. Responsible for projects from conception through post-production. Hiring crews, vendors, sourcing locations or location managers, casting or hiring casting directors, and getting approvals each step of the way from Key Stakeholders and then clients.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage entire projects from conception to post-production by staying in regular communication with the client and managing all aspects of budgeting from estimating and conception to wrapping of the project.
- Dig deep into a creative brief and clear up any uncertainties with the client and team before kicking off the project
- Understand the client’s goals and offer consistent guidance toward the best possible product that aligns with those goals
- Leverage knowledge of digital media landscapes to maximize content engagement and exposure
- Prepare the client and crew for the day of the production by crafting clear Call Sheets and outlines to ensure key details are accounted for
- Communicate and collaborate with a team of savvy creative producers and video editors to produce engaging content that elevates our client’s brands and helps them achieve their goals
- Develop great client relationships by building trust and respect through transparency and communication
- Champion our project management tools (ClickUp Notion) by plugging in production timelines and making sure everything is up-to-date with the latest information, status reports, and links
- Ensure statuses are clear, key deadlines are manageable, and the entire team is aware of all projects in our queue
- Keep a pulse on the creative team workload and shift around a few individual plates to effectively accommodate an urgent quick-turn creative request
- Nudge along the client and creative team with proactively upbeat reminders regarding key project deadlines to the creative team
- Lead scheduled and supported brainstorms, creative reviews, retrospectives, and other ceremonies to keep the team aligned and focused
- Work with clients and internal teams to define and achieve project goals
- Facilitate project communication so client and team are informed and ready and able to execute
- Establish agendas and run effective, informative project meetings
- Oversee the efficient and quality production of deliverables
- Develop timelines, manage deliverables, and ensure milestones are met
- Run and organize all project budgeting
- Plan and secure appropriate resources throughout the project lifecycle
- Raise changes to scope, budget, and timing and communicate the impact of those changes
- Ensure that our work meets Darkroom’s high-quality standards
- Maintain healthy client relationships and manage day-to-day client communications
What You’ll Need to be Successful:
- A home base of LA! Due to Production location, this role is based in Los Angeles, California.
- 3-5 years of experience as a producer or at a producer level capacity.
- The right candidate will be highly motivated, resourceful, and organized with high attention to detail.
- You must be able to multi-task and quickly pick up new concepts while maintaining an upbeat and positive relationship with existing clients
- You also deeply understand the creative process and can speak Copywriter and Designer, and think a dozen steps ahead.
- You really know what it takes to get a project completed, and use that magic to keep us all on track.
- Passion for Production: You get a thrill from making beautiful and effective content on time and on budget.
- Obsession with Organization: You are the Marie Kondo of creative project management and are continually looking for ways to streamline, organize, and optimize our projects
