General Laborer / Worker / Yardman

Darnall Concrete is a manufacturer of concrete manholes, septic tanks and other construction related items. We are looking for another person to join our growing team. This opening is for a job that is very diverse and will require someone who is flexible and responsible. There are two different areas that this person will be working any given day and will be changing duties whenever required.

As a Yardman, you will monitor inventory of raw materials such as sand, rock and cement for our manufacturing plant making sure bins are always adequately full. You will also be responsible for hauling finished product out of the plant with a forklift and placing in the appropriate area in our yard. Other responsibilities include loading customers, weed control, mowing, and locking up the facility at the end of the day.

On slower days and during the winter months, you will be busy working in our manufacturing facility. This job includes some heavy lifting, setting up forms and placing steel reinforcing per specifications, pouring and placing wet concrete into forms, removing previously cast concrete pieces from forms, and cleaning of work area. The indoor, year-round concrete production environment requires a steady pace and a fair amount of physical effort is required climbing in and out of large, oily concrete forms.

It is expected that once training is complete, the person in this position would not require oversight to continue. This job will require the ability to be very flexible according to the companies needs. This position is a full time position and overtime is paid over 40 hours per week.
