Project Designer

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for preparing product recommendations, furniture specifications, pricing and drawings within allotted time and customer budget constraints. Candidate must be proficient in 2D/3D CAD, MS Office. Rendering capabilities preferred.

Essential Functions:

• Assist Customer Service with all Requests for Quotation (RFQ).
• Provide Quotations and Drawings for project opportunities/requests.
• Provide 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings based on specifications
• Upon request, drop 2D symbols into AutoCAD floor plans
• Provide Renderings as needed on qualified projects
• Project reporting

Detail Functions:

• Responsible for all large Project RFQs and any other RFQs as required by request volume.
• Upon receipt of RFQ, contact Dealer or Designer for Floor Plan layout, detailed specifications, competition and project budget as necessary to provide quotation.
• Quote based on Dealer/Designer specifications, customer requirements, and/or competition.
• Research Competition for all project/bid quotes to assure competitive DARRAN product is being requested and quoted.
• Provide 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings upon request for all opportunities.
• Provide 2D AutoCAD symbols when requested or drop furniture symbols into plan.
• Provide PDF version of Product Brochure and photos of installations with similar products along with project quotation.
• Provide detailed Product Spec sheet, finish information and advantage information to Dealer/Designer.
• Upon receipt of Order, review Order against quote to provide correct “revision” to Order Entry and clarifying questions regarding discrepancies of order to quote.

20/20 Technologies/CAP GIZA:

• Provide 2D and 3D drawings for CAP/GIZA program and also DARRAN Price Lists.
• Proof all Files to ensure correct drawings are provided from company
• Coordinate with outside designers to provide 3D drawings for CAP/GIZA
• Log and Report 20/20 program issues for correction to DARRAN catalog manager.
• All other responsibilities and expectations set by management.

Reporting:

• Report details for all $125k list/$50k net projects to Sales Manager for follow-up/tracking/reporting.
• Properly enter RFQs on Quote Log and update as required to reflect response time, quote dollars, number of revisions and win/losses.
