Overview

Provides assistance and support to Accounts Payable (AP) leadership and management of AP staff, production and systems. Resolves issues related to processing and imaging, create process documentation, and respond to inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises and manages all assigned staff. Oversees timely and accurate completion of team’s work. Ensures adherence to standards, procedures and protocols. Assists in providing day-to-day management.
  • Standardizes procedures and initiates policy and procedure changes. Directs department operations to prepare and retains records, files, and reports.
  • Interviews and selects new staff, organizes orientation to train new employees in operational procedures, evaluates staff’s performance and recommends salary adjustments. Coaches and counsels for performance problems up to termination.
  • Coordinates and directs special quality improvement pilots and projects in which the staff is involved. Develops, maintains and revises procedures and systems to ensure efficient, effective operations.
  • Analyzes work flow to assure maximum staff utilization.
  • Facilitates computer system projects and maintenance, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system conversions, new modules and upgrades.
  • Supports the development and maintenance of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) enhancement, within the Accounts Payable construct.
  • Assists Operations Specialist with monthly and annual close processes.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

    • Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree in Finance or IS related field or equivalent
    • Minimum of 3 years of related experience or equivalent
    • Experience with Microsoft Office software required.
    • Must be able to work under pressure, meet daily deadlines, and work in a team setting.
    • Mathematical aptitude desired.
