What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jewelry Advisor position at Darvier Jewelry Design Studio?
The Jewelry Advisors ensure clients are never left waiting for service. They streamline walk-in sales and repair traffic and chat with current and future clients about jewelry and our services. This position is designed to ensure every single client feels focused on and listened to. With your help and knowledge, clients will feel comfortable trusting us for their jewelry needs. By in-taking repairs, selling live pieces, scheduling appointments, and delegating walk-ins to designers as appropriate, the jewelry advisors step in whenever needed to make the Darvier experience exceptional.
The ideal candidate for this role will be able to work around 20 hours a week, with Saturdays required. This is an entry-level position with room to grow.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE & SALES:
- Create a welcoming environment for clients by greeting and welcoming guests into our showroom with enthusiasm, warmth, and professionalism. Help create a memorable and personalized experience through tactful interaction and emphasizing education, not sales.
- Promptly respond to inquiries with accurate information and assist with emails, phone calls, and/or in-person appointments.
- Work well with our team to ensure all tasks are being met, hand in hand with the Production and Showroom Coordinators
- Serve as a point of contact/liaison between clients and Production, maintaining our CRM up to date with details of where and who projects are with.
- Check in processes: adequately document all pieces that we take in with client’s updated information, and photograph everything as it comes in.
- Checkout processes: assist clients with pick-ups, payments, exchanges, re-sizing, and shipping.
- Feel comfortable asking questions to others on the team if you aren’t 100% sure about the answer.
RETAIL OPERATIONS:
- Maintain the luxury Showroom's appearance, cleanliness, and organization. This includes performing opening/closing procedures and helping keep it clean.
- Ensure the security of our product and follow operational policy and procedure.
- Assist with tracking inventory of all live pieces, gemstones, and diamonds.
- Tag all custom and repair photos pertaining to files in our photo database, update them in the CRM system, and file them away as projects are completed in our archives room. Keep our archives room tidy and organized.
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 years of customer-facing sales experience is a must.
- Vaccinations Up-to-date (COVID, etc)
- Comfortable engaging with and relating to people of all races, ages, genders, sexualities, and abilities and being generally respectful to everyone in the space is a must
- Passion for and knowledge about Jewelry, Diamonds (Modern, Antique, Lab Created Diamonds, 4 C’s, etc), and Gemstones. Being familiar with vintage jewelry and its history is a plus.
- Excellent professional verbal and written communication while consistently maintaining high attention to detail and emotional intelligence with all clients
- Proficiency with Photoshop, Excel, Google, and Microsoft software systems. Practical experience with a CRM/POS system or customer-focused channel software system is preferred.
STARTING PAY RANGE: $18-$22/hr (negotiable based on experience)
