About the Role
An opportunity is available to join DAS42 as a consulting Business Analytics Manager. The Business Analytics Manager will direct the technical teams to complete client engagements. Business Analytics Managers will also serve as the technical liaison with clients. This person will be a key member of our technical consulting staff and will mentor successful teams. This position reports to a Principal Consultant.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and mentor technical teams of 4-5 people
- Delegate work to associates across concurrent engagements
- Design technical solutions to meet client business objectives
- Competence across the DAS42 data stack (SQL, Python, Snowflake, Looker, Tableau, etc.) and excellence in certain areas
- Resolve technical roadblocks independently and with Principal Consultants
- Some hands-on delivery. Primary focus is on coaching the team in their delivery.
- Communicate the what, why, and how with client business and technical stakeholders in coordination with senior leadership
- Ensure consistently high quality of deliverables
- Perform employee reviews and performance assessments on a project basis
What We’re Looking For
- A passion for technology and for helping companies solve business problems with data
- 3 years proven track-record of execution in a fast-moving, fast-growing environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Solid experience with SQL, Python, Git, and at least one commercial Business Intelligence (BI) solution. Experience with Snowflake, Looker, Tableau, preferred.
- Experience with data pipeline technology. Apache Airflow or DBT a plus
- Working knowledge of data visualization and dashboarding and basic UX concepts
- Experience with data modeling and standard modeling approaches
- Ability to build relationships both internally and externally
- Experience managing technical staff, ideally in a consulting or services environment
- Client-facing project experience strongly desired
- BA/BS degree required, ideally in a quantitatively oriented degree (e.g. Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics). Advanced degree a plus.
