The Opportunity
DAT is looking for a Contracts Specialist to join our outstanding Legal team located in Denver CO.
This is a critical position to support our continued business growth. You'll be responsible for the administration of contractual documents that establish business relationships with customers, vendors, and partners.
You'll bring everything you've learned about administrating legal contracts, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, and assisting stakeholders in reaching effective resolution while also ensuring compliance with various policies and best practices.

What You'll Do
- Manage the contracting process for Non-disclosure Agreements, Sales Agreements, Purchasing Agreements, Consulting Agreements, Licensing Agreements, and Partner Agreements.
- Draft, evaluate, and negotiate assigned contracts in accordance with company policies and practices.
- Provide redlined recommendations and assist in negotiation until consensus has been reached.
- Review customer and/or vendor proposed terms and conditions while assessing risk and providing recommendations to protect the Company's interests.
- Work closely with internal team (legal, finance, sales, product development, and other stakeholders) and external parties on assigned contractual matters, ensuring timely review and approval of terms.
- Clearly explain contract terminology and interpretation to internal and external stakeholders in simple, everyday language.
- Ensure that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility and awareness, interpretation to support implementation.
- Manage and maintain a contracts database.
- Maintain contractual records and documentation such .as receipt and control of all contract correspondence, contractual changes, and other documents for all projects.
- Assist in implementing new contract management software.
- Assist in creating a new procedure for contract management and administration in compliance with company policy.
- Assist in maintaining Product Terms & Conditions, Company Policies and Data Governance Policies.
- Draft applicable policies and procedures.
- Manage compliance with policies and procedures.
Skills and Experience You'll Bring
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrable knowledge of standard contract language and terminology is a must.
- Experience working within a corporate contract or legal department is a must.
- Software/Technology industry experience is a plus.
- Experience working with data governance, including data security issues, is a plus.
- Experience utilizing CRM is preferred; Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Ability to work under broad supervision and exercise frequent independent judgment.
- Strong sense of personal ownership and ability to both receive and provide feedback.
- Familiarity with typical sales cycles and practices.
- Team-player, self-motivated, and adaptable.
- Experience working with a diverse employee base across remote and local environments.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, paralegal certificate, or equivalent years of experience.
(Colorado only) In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the minimum salary for this role is $73,000, plus benefits. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience.
