The Opportunity
DAT is looking for a Software Engineer to join our team working hybrid in Beaverton, Oregon.

We're looking for a Software Engineer that is passionate about building great customer-facing software. You will be working in a full stack TypeScript ecosystem (Node/Angular) to develop code that is reliable, maintainable, and scalable. As part of a highly collaborative team, you will help establish a new generation of microservices supporting the entry point into DAT's load board software - posting.
In this role you will tackle a variety of stories, from building microservices to creating compelling user experiences on top of the latest web technologies. You will be part of a team that designs, develops, tests, and delivers solutions through our CI/CD environments and deploy solutions to our customers hosted on AWS.

What You'll Do
- Design and develop reliable, scalable, and maintainable software solutions
- Participate in design/code reviews
- Develop expertise in TypeScript, AWS solutions, and REST APIs
- Write unit, integration, and functional tests, and guide others in doing the same
- Collaborate with product, UX, and analytics to design and deliver great user experiences
- Work with team members to improve development processes and practices
- Document software designs and project tasks
- Review functional requirements and analyze their impact on schedule and software design
- Translate business needs and requirements into technical specifications
The Skills and Experience You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, plus
- 2 years' experience in software development with demonstrated experience working full stack
- Experience writing TypeScript
- Significant depth with Node.js
- Experience using web UI frameworks such as React or Angular to build web UI's
- Experience using modern cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining microservices.
- Understanding of microservices best practices, including scalability, reliability, and security.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating infrastructure as code into the development workflow.
- Experience with Scrum/Agile SDLC
- Invested in the professional growth and development of individuals and teams
- Experience with client and server unit testing
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Bonus Skills
- Experience defining Infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform
- Experience defining and implementing integration and end-to-end tests
- Experience with messaging systems like Kafka
- Experience with non-relational and noSQL databases

For Colorado-based candidates, in compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, theminimum salary for this role is $95,000.00 benefits. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience.
