Network & Systems Administrator

Data-Core Systems, a successful provider of information technology, consulting and business process outsourcing services, primarily working with small and medium enterprises and government organizations has an immediate opening for a Network & Systems Administrator.    

We are looking for a talented System Engineer who has the experience necessary to help build and support our existing infrastructure and troubleshoot problems as they arise. We’re a growing company with a team of highly dedicated IT professionals who work in different industry segments. The ideal candidate for this position can juggle multiple tasks, deliver strategic projects on time and on budget while dealing with typical day to day support activity of a large organization.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain network infrastructure, routers, firewalls, connectivity, etc.
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
• Deploy, configure, and maintain operating systems and software
• Oversee the development and installation of new hardware and software
• Comply with Security and Privacy Standards
• Help in Security Audit and remedial actions
• Create and implement a system backup management plan
• Maintain the in-house Asterisk (VoIP) phone system
• Troubleshoot infrastructure problems and issues and implement timely solutions
• Provide automation through scripting or other means to minimize human intervention.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for all infrastructure designs and upgrades
• Assist in rolling out products in On-Prem mode and then onto Cloud

Skills and Educational Qualification

• BS in Computer related discipline
• 5 years of proven working experience in System Engineering and IT support
• Certifications in related fields
• Experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation including LAN/WAN/VPN/Wireless/VoIP, Firewalls, Routers, Switches, and VLANs
• Excellent knowledge of computer hardware/software systems
• Knowledge of common databases (SQL Server, Oracle)
• Experience installing, configuring, and supporting Windows Web Services (IIS, FTP, SFTP).
• Experience with VoIP phone systems
• Experience with Managing Office-365
• Experience with Cloud services (Azure/AWS) is a plus
• Experience with VMWare
