Quoting & Pricing Analyst

Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Quoting & Pricing Analyst to join our team! The Quoting & Pricing Analyst plays a vital role in managing pricing data within our proprietary software platform, conducting thorough pricing analysis, participating in rate negotiations, and contributing to strategic projects.  In this role you will be responsible for evaluating customer requirements, gathering necessary data, and conducting cost analysis to determine the most competitive pricing for our products.  

In this leadership role, you will manage the direction, development, and execution of the customer service function for this site. The incumbent is responsible for all aspects of program management for the site, serving as the liaison between the company and the customer to ensure customer needs are met.

Responsibilities of the Quoting & Pricing Analyst:

• Analyze customer requests for quotes and assess the feasibility of manufacturing the requested products.
• Develop accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and overhead costs.
• Collaborate with procurement and production teams to determine pricing recommendations.
• Interface with customers through Account Managers and sometimes directly regarding quoting issues.
• Monitor market trends, competitor pricing strategies, and industry dynamics to ensure competitiveness.
• Evaluate and negotiate terms, discounts, and pricing agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with sales teams to provide support during customer negotiations and presentations.

Qualifications of the Quoting & Pricing Analyst: 

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or related
• Minimum of 2 years prior experience as a pricing analyst, cost analyst, or similar role in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Knowledge of CalcuQuote or willingness to learn and become a subject matter expert.
• Excellent Computer skills including EXCEL reporting and manipulation of files (vlookup, Pivot, Filter etc)
• Experience with PowerBI, data analytics, SQL & Python desirable
• Sourcing experience for simple and complex material components
