Shipping/Receiving Associate

Data Metalcraft is hiring a Shipping/Receiving Associate to learn and grow with our company. DMI is a manufacturer of formed sheet metal and welded fiber optic cabinets. We are an A rated supplier to our vendors and develop long lasting relationships.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Shipping Parts out this includes pulling and staging shipments.

Preparing truck for deliveries.

Making OSV PO’s and monitoring PO’s.

Entering and posting of OSV to PO’s.

Comparing packing lists to company purchase orders and ensuring that the products in each delivery match the vendor packing list.

Communicating with Scheduling and Production any changes in PO due dates.

Properly accounting for the receipt of all incoming goods for outside service by entering and posting receipts in M1.

Being present for all deliveries including the receipt of all incoming goods including outside services.

Determines the receipt and distribution of incoming products.

Manage Warehouse Receiving Associate with packaging by creating a shipping schedule daily.

Making sure product is packaged and shipped to customers per written procedures.

Scheduling outbound shipments. This includes working closely with FedEx, UPS, LTL etc.

Perform cycle counts of finished goods and component inventory.

Assuring no damaged items are sent or received.

Communicate with vendor if there are discrepancies in receipts or quality issues

Work with accounting to resolve issues with invoicing vs. receipts.

Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.

Follow company procedures and directives.

May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Qualifications and Skills:

Good communication skills.

Ability to use your time effectively and efficiently.

Ability to interpret documentation.

Intermediate computer skills.

Able to work well within a team environment.
