Job Summary:

Our Data Science Teaching Assistant (TA) position is a dynamic opportunity that combines your passion for teaching with your data science experience. You’ll interact with professionals across countries and industries to help them understand how they can use data science to advance their careers and transform how industries are run. This includes supporting training delivery and student needs to reach their objectives and learn these critical data skills. Your position is key in communicating the students' needs to instructors and maintaining a steady focus on opportunities to enhance the student experience. While we are currently running all of our training programs online, there may be opportunities for travel once it is deemed safe to do so. This position is ideal for a graduate student, as it will currently operate an estimated 5 hours per week.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting engaging and intuitive onsite and live-streaming trainings for a professional audience
  • Supporting students via email during workshops and outside of training sessions
  • Learning of additional client needs through conversations with students 
  • Working with the instructional design and data science teams to develop and improve content
  • Occasionally leading a training session as needed

Skills you bring:

  • Graduate or in-progress graduate degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, or Information Systems, or a related degree program
  • Fluency in Python programming
  • Expertise of key machine learning techniques including clustering, classification, regression, text mining, and neural networks Knowledge of how above techniques can be applied to solve industry problems
  • Expertise in Excel, SQL, Tableau, and R programming is recommended
