About the role
DataCamp is a cloud-oriented company with a global presence. Most of our employees are located in 3 locations: New York (US), Leuven (BE) and London (UK). We are a team of people with varying skill sets from technical devops engineers to enthusiastic sales people.
It will be your role as a part of the IT team to help build out our automations, to implement and manage SaaS. Next to SaaS operations projects, you will be responsible for supporting and enabling our internal teams, in person and remote, and maintaining our internal network. You will be exposed to many different technologies like Okta, Google Workplace, MS365, Atlassian Jira, Servicedesk, Jamf and Bettercloud. As such, you will not be expected to know everything, but expected to be resourceful in finding solutions.
As IT Support and SaaS operations Engineer you will have excellent customer service and communication skills with an eagerness to learn and do more. You will need a “yes I can” attitude. You’re always looking for opportunities to improve our corporate IT environment and asking what else can be done to help.
You will play a key part in planning future improvements and owning your day to day work. You will also work closely with members of the Infrastructure Engineering team, who maintain the infrastructure of our e-learning platform.
Working odd hours on occasion and traveling between offices (New York, London, Leuven) may be required. You will report to the Head of IT who is located in Leuven, Belgium.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing and managing DataCamp’s internal infrastructure and Saas applications.
- Build out further automation and workflows
- Ensure systems are compliant with internal security standards
- Document support and operations processes
- Support DataCamp Staff in their IT operations
- Onboard new joiners and Manage Access
- Ensure up-to-date Endpoint Security
- Maintain accurate Asset Management records
- Execute projects to improve systems and operations
The ideal candidate:
- Several years of experience as Cloud/Dev Ops, IT Support Engineer, IT Administrator, or equivalent experience
- Highly responsive
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented
- Hands-on
- Resourcefulness – the ability to figure things out
- Expert knowledge of MacOS and Google Workplace
- Good Knowledge of JAMF, Okta and Atlassian is a plus.
- Proficient in (shell) scripting
- Experience with AWS and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, …)
- Experience using and managing ticket-based enterprise workflow management systems, particularly JIRA and other Atlassian products
- Sound knowledge of information and communications technology fundamentals
- Ability to help DataCamp employees solve software problems and hardware products including laptop, desktop, phones and accessories.
- Experience with hosted productivity and communications applications, including Google Workspace, MS Office, Zoom, Okta and other commonly used SaaS systems (Salesforce, Airtable, …), and the ability to train and support employees on their use
- A positive, service-oriented attitude, needs to be a problem solver
- Willingness to travel occasionally to remote offices
It’s a plus if:
- You have the ability to support and assist employees using AV systems, both on-site and remotely
- You are a Jamf Certified Admin or Jamf Certified Expert
- You have experience with Okta or similar tools
- You have experience with Atlassian Jira automation
- You have experience with Ubiquiti Unifi network equipment
- You have experience with monitoring tools like DataDog
- You have experience working in an ISO 27001 or SOC2 certified environment
