Job Details:
Job Title: Telecom Project Manager
Duration: 6 Months (with possible extension)
Location: Portland, OR 97214
Scope of Work:
Provides assistance in design and administrative support for enterprise cabling infrastructure and physical layer inter-connectivity of systems. Provides research for design, administration, installation coordination, project management, maintenance and diagnostics for enterprise wide cabling infrastructure projects in support of data, voice and video systems as well as other low voltage systems including cameras, alarms, paging, security, audio visual and other Facilities department systems.
Required Skills and Abilities: Contractor needs to meet these requirements:
- Commercial Construction Knowledge
- Low Voltage Experience and/or Telephony Knowledge
- Demonstrates Project Management Skills
- Demonstrates Troubleshooting Knowledge
- Data Center/ Telecom Room Build-Out Experience
- IT Skills, Software Skills, Drawing Programs
- Knowledge of Copper, Coaxial, Fiber
- BICSI RTPM a plus (Registered Telecommunications Project Manager)
- Gathering specific project information for the project initiation
- Creation of the project budget
- Identifying and managing stakeholders
- Orchestrating the proposal
- Identifying project deliverables
- Managing budget and deliverables
- Creating and managing launch and deadline dates
- Effectively communicating between all stakeholders
- Closing of the project
