Job Description
JOB TITLE --- Chemical Engineer
LOCATION ----- Orange TX - 77630
Duration ----- 6 Months Contract (Extendable)
Note – Pay $54/hr w2
Description:
• Lead productivity projects yielding significant reductions in defects/costs and increased productivity
• Achieving plant targets for SQDIC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost) for assigned production assets
• Maintain engineering documents and participate in PHAs and execute on recommendations to eliminate process safety hazards
• Work on projects that optimize energy consumption and could help in reducing expenses to operate in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
• Perform root cause analysis and implement process changes/control plans to drive continuous improvement
• Utilize Six Sigma tools to drive process improvements
• Execution of Improvement and Control steps in Six Sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve & Control) process for existing plant operations.
• Responsible for accurate production loss data entry into the Attainment system
• Identify process KPIs and work independently or on a team to reduce process variability and waste through process unit operations optimization
• Work closely with other operational engineers to develop and implement innovative engineering solutions to improve OEE
• Utilize MOC process to manage changes
• Support operations in troubleshooting daily process issues as needed
• Develop new SOPs or update existing ones as needed
YOU MUST HAVE:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
• 2 years of experience in manufacturing facility
