Overview:
The Sr Test Automation Engineer is responsible for the development and management of automated end to end and integration tests for their assigned technical product(s) or application(s), within the context of an agile/DevOps delivery model. In addition, they will extend their DevOps responsibilities to take on Manual Software Testing, Software Engineering, Business Analysis and Operations topics as appropriate. Test Automation Development, Management and Operations.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop automated integration tests for the assigned products and applications
Design and develop automated end to end tests for the assigned products and applications
Manage, maintain and enhance the suite of automated tests for the assigned products and applications
Support, maintain and enhance the test automation execution environment and tooling
Support co-workers in their adoption, utilization and expansion of testing and test automation
Manual software testing
Software analysis, design, development and unit testing
Operations and support
Business analysis
Coordination and Administration: Support efficient work processes by:
Coordinating day to day activities with team members
Leading and mentoring other team members as appropriate
Resolving or escalating risks and issues
Executing resource planning and time tracking processes. Balancing speed to market, product quality and cost in the design, implementation and testing of technical solutions.
Developing technical solutions that appropriately account for both evolving technology and future business
requirements.
Executing in an evolving agile environment. Close collaboration with IT colleagues and the Business in the design, implementation and testing of technical
solutions.
Performance of activities and interactions with our internal and external customers through verbal or written
communication should reflect adherence to the company’s core values.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
5 - 10 years IT experience
3 - 5 years end to end test automation development
3 - 5 years application development
3 – 5 years integration test development
3 – 5 years unit test development
Preferences
1 - 2 years Financial Services industry. Strong knowledge of common concepts, architectures and processes in software development.
Highly proficient with test automation toolsets and enabling tools including Selenium, Ruby, Cucumber, and
Jenkins
Well-versed in dealing with common IT technologies (e.g. Java, .Net, C#, Web, databases, Siebel, or SAP)
Proficient in the core technologies (C#, JavaScript, Angular JS, T-SQL)
Familiarity with financial services applications.
Experience in a multi-location, international environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to sell complex topics with members of management at all levels.
