DataStaff, Inc is currently seeking a Data Conversion Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity for one of our direct clients in Richmond, VA
*This position is hybrid, 3 days per week onsite/2 days remote.
Responsibilities:
- Converting existing PDF documents for accessibility compliance with SEC 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
- Create web content pages and ensuring converted documents maintain the integrity and formatting of the original PDFs.
- Use the accessibility tool and action wizard tool within Adobe to create accessible and compliant PDFs.
- Identify form fields, set alternate text, tag text that has not been auto detected and organize the reading order and HTML structure.
- This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent technical skills, and the ability to meet deadlines. Proficiency in HTML is a plus.
Required Skills:
- 5 Years - Convert existing PDFs into accessible PDFs
- 5 Years - Convert PDFs into web content pages
- 5 Years - Collaborate with team to improve conversion processes
- 5 Years - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of PDF accessibility best practices
- 5 Years - Review converted documents for quality control and make necessary adjustments as needed
- 5 Years - Work closely with team to ensure timely delivery of converted documents
- 5 Years - Provide technical support and training to other team members, if needed
- 5 Years - Proficient in using Adobe Acrobat
Desired Skills:
- 2 Years - Knowledge of SEC 508 of the Rehabilitation Act is a plus
