Position: Tech Support Analyst 2
Location: Norfolk, VA Beach, Hampton areas (100% ON SITE from Day 1)
Interviews:Initial web-based IVs conducted; in-person may be requested if deemed necessary by the manager.
Important Note: Candidates must agree to be 100% ON SITE from Day One before submitting.
Parking: Contractors do not receive provided parking; there is a nominal one-time annual fee. The manager will discuss parking costs during the interview process.
Background Check: In addition to Vector compliance items, NSU conducts a separate criminal background check from Age 18 forward, which can take 2-4 weeks for results.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Tech Support Analyst 2 will be responsible for:
· Maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems, hardware, and peripherals.
· Documenting, upgrading, and replacing hardware and software systems.
· Supporting and managing user account information, including rights, security, and systems groups.
· Performing basic operations, monitoring, installation, troubleshooting, relocations, or maintenance of communications equipment.
· Identifying and resolving basic communications problems.
· Preparing or assisting in service record documentation, ensuring awareness of standards and regulatory requirements.
· Providing technical assistance and support for application and hardware problems.
· Installing, maintaining, moving, and assisting in testing and upgrading new and existing hardware/software.
· Reviewing and recommending procurement of information technology equipment.
· Maintaining necessary security controls over software.
· Conducting presentations and briefings for training sessions.
