What are the responsibilities and job description for the RF Test Technician II or III position at Datron World Communications Inc?
I. SCOPE
Perform moderately complex set-up, calibration, testing, and fault isolation of circuits, components, instruments, of electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies. Recognize failures and set-up problems, and determines need for appropriate verification. Operate programmable auto-testers, spectrum analyzers, sinadders, RF communication test sets, digital counters, samplers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, meters, power supplies, and special test fixtures.
Generally works independently; exercises independent judgment in performance of job duties; directs more complex issues to a higher level when required. Able to perform a variety of semi-routine tasks to ensure production quality standards are met .
The focus of this position is working closely and accurately within established guidelines. A faster-than-average pace will be the norm for this position. Detail work is a major focus of the job, and those details need to be handled quickly, correctly, and efficiently.
II. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

3. Recognizes failures and set-up problems, and able to determine the need for appropriate verification.
4. Operates programmable auto-testers, spectrum analyzers, sinadders, counters, samplers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, multi-meters, power supplies, and special test fixtures.
5. Must be able to work from test procedures, assembly drawings, parts lists, and wire lists including working closely with engineering.

1. Requires High School diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years related experience, superior analog & digital debug knowledge, RF Theory, and application skill set.
2. Experience in analog and digital electronics testing and troubleshooting.
3. Experience in “VHF” or “HF” radio testing and troubleshooting.
4. Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
5. Must be able to make independent judgment.
6. Must have applied technical experience and/or training.
7. Ability to promote accuracy and quality of work in a fast pace environment.
8. Ability to work with repetitive routines.
9. Must be detailed oriented.
10. Able to work with all levels of personnel and thrive in a team oriented environment.
Works on assignments that are semi routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
