Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct and coordinate the activities of the maintenance shop
- OSHA compliance
- Supervise 1st and 2nd shifts
- Work in coordination with school bus, motor coach, dispatch and maintenance departments
- Maintain good customer relations
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with DATTCOs policies and procedures and all applicable laws
- Ability to train, coach and develop staff
Minimum Requirements
- Must have a minimum 3 years vehicle maintenance supervisory experience, transportation experience preferred
- Must be able to create teamwork environment
- Excellent problem-solving techniques in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management and customers
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Windows
- Complete set of tools
- Experience with school bus, motor coach and truck repair
- Lifting up to 75 pounds
