Was founded on June 8, 2000, by two Industry executives looking to create #CareerReady artists with practical animation skills. They created a school that offered specialized training in Visual Effects with extensive practice under industry level supervision. The Game Production program followed 13 years later in September of 2014, making it the second program to be offered by the school.
At the end of 2017, The DAVE School introduced fully Online Bachelor Programs in Digital Graphic Design, as well as the additional Bachelor’s Degrees in Visual Effects and Game Production for Diploma students seeking to enhance their educational experience.
The DAVE School is located on the backlot of Universal Studios Florida™. Our 18,000 square foot facility includes learning and interactive labs, a dedicated Virtual and Real-Time production stage, a Vicon motion capture system, 3D printing and VR/AR labs. Students have access to our facilities 7 days a week.
Today, The DAVE School consistently produces skilled graduates who are uniquely prepared for industry positions. DAVE graduates have worked on Oscars and Emmy nominated and/or winning projects, and have won other prestigious awards. The school continues to grow in the traditions of its founders by keeping in tune with industry trends and changes. This affords the school the means to adapt its educational programs to meet the needs of the always advancing fields of digital entertainment and interactive media.
Our Institution is looking for a qualified Instructor that has extensive knowledge of the Unreal Engine. The candidate must also have experience in the 3D model creation pipeline, texture map creation, shader network creation, and has experience with implementing those into Unreal Engine.
Candidates must have experience working in the following:
- Autodesk Maya
- ZBrush
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Painter and Designer
- Unreal Engine
Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Instructional Activities: the practice and art of teaching, including evaluation by students, supervisor(s), and self. Faculty must also comply with all administrative and classroom management policies, procedures and instructional deadlines.
- Facilitate meaningful learning of curriculum, competencies and proactively support all facets of an inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage a high degree of Professionalism in the classroom setting, moving forward into the student's future careers.
- Hold weekly office hours for student questions.
- Attend monthly meetings with faculty.
- Provide timely feedback to students on assignments and participation.
- Record class attendance daily, submit grades by specific due dates.
Qualifications:
- Must have 2 years of industry experience
