Strategic Responsibility:
The Social Media Manager is responsible for driving the development and deployment the social media strategy and execution for the entire Learning Resources Group (LRG) which includes books and curriculum businesses of David C Cook.
Must be proficient in writing and editing, with an understanding of social media channels, as well as have a clear understanding of the Church and its needs. This includes strategizing and developing content plans that help products meet or exceed annual revenue goals. This may involve content for launching new products and programs as part of a cross-functional team.
This position will collaborate with key stakeholders, plan across departments, then monitor and assess progress and performance against stated metrics.
Job Description:
Works closely with the curriculum and marketing department to ensure social media strategies align with branding and messaging objectives.
Conducts research to align type and placement of online content with customer base.
Develops benchmarks for assessing social media campaign success, and regularly analyzes, reviews, and reports on strategies.
Work cross functionally with marketing, sales, data analytics, customer success, and operations stakeholders to collect requirements and oversee asset production.
Manage communication frequency guidelines, specifically with lifecycle marketing and business operations, and leverage email best practices.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
Formal Education: Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or related field required.
Experience: 3 experience developing social media campaigns supporting educational or curriculum brands. Proven success building content strategies across social media channels including authors and influencers. Strong track record in growing audiences, driving engagement and delivering business results through social media channels and campaigns.
Specialized Knowledge/Certification: Comprehensive knowledge of social media, particularly in relation to brands, authors and influencers. Loomly Experience. Deep the field's concepts and principles. Has extensive knowledge of social networks and online marketing strategies. Hands on experience in content management across Instagram and Facebook in particular and potentially with TikTok and Twitter. Excellent copywriting skills, ideally in the social media space with attention to detail. Ability to deliver compelling and creative content (text, photo, video) to brand fans and new fans simultaneously. Solid background and working knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics to measure results
