What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analyst, Revenue Operations (ROPS) position at Davita Inc.?
A Business Analyst reviews, analyzes, resolves, and identifies trends for Hospital Services invoice lifecycle. Aspects of data analytics includes validation of internal/external reports, creative data analytics and analytics to validate system functionality.
This position includes running ad hoc reporting and analysis, creating process efficiency tools and other tasks assigned by leadership. The successful person in this role will be able to identify root causes through data driven, systematic approaches, synthesize knowledge from past projects, employ in new initiatives and effectively communicate recommendations to the Manager, Director, and Vice President of the Team.
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive.
- Prepare and analyze reports detailing current and historic trends of Hospital reimbursement lifecycle; identify issues, variances, aberrant data, and other information as needed
- Prepare and analyze reports detailing trends, issues, variances, opportunities and results of Special Projects
- Extract, filter and aggregate data through logical queries and basic programming.
- Develop and create data layout like tables, charts, graphs, heat maps and process flow diagrams.
- Provide reporting data to management and others in oral and written form
- Identify root causes for debit and credit balance creation and take appropriate steps to prevent potential future debit and credit balances
- Perform additional process reviews as directed by leaders; identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes as directed
- Develop and maintain knowledge of all applicable department policies and processes as well as knowledge of all applicable billing and A/R related systems
- Work with other Revenue OPS teams, Finance, Compliance, and Legal teams as necessary
- Drive special projects and other responsibilities as assigned

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Education, licenses, certifications, and experience to fulfill the essential duties.
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Minimum of three (3) years revenue cycle experience with an emphasis on accounts receivable
- Proven working experience extracting data from relational databases with data normalization and referential integrity
- Experience designing reports to provide meaningful information to business leaders
- Experience developing and maintaining tracking tools, such as dashboards, to measure metrics
- Experience with electronic billing and accounts receivable systems
- Quality assurance experience and/or audit experience
- Experience in Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies
- Healthcare background and experience highly desirable and preferred
- Previous project management experience highly desirable and preferred
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Required: Advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, Visio, and MS Access
- Required: Intermediate level proficiency using database languages including, SQL, T-SQL, PLSQL and MySQL
- Required: Ability to automate recurring work processes in Excel using VBA
- Preferred: Oracle, Tableau, JIRA
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to perform successfully the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the position.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Salary/ Wage Range
$22.00-$31.50 / hourCompensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
