Analyst, Data Management

This position is responsible for the implementation of new or updating of existing data systems, databases, data models and/or data visualization tools in order to create easily accessible, accurate and secure data that can be utilized for one or more of the business teams within Revenue Operations. In order to achieve this, the Data Management Analysts will coordinate multiple stakeholders including IT, external vendors and business teammates in combination with needed technical skills & knowledge of DaVita’s data & data systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Analysis & Technical:

• Builds data systems, data models or assists in the building of databases through proficiency in technical skills needed (ex. Data modeling in Tableau, SQL, Oracle, Netezza)
• Independently exports, transforms and loads data tables into data repositories in order to support maintenance of multiple databases
• Displays a strong understanding of a specific business lane or specific scope of data, the source systems where that data exists, the data repositories that it can be accessed from, and how data gets from its source system to repository.
• Documents data requirements clearly through Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD).
  
  

Problem Solving:

• Solves problems by identifying key drivers & developing a hypothesis-based approach.
• Leads training sessions & office hours to help end users adopt best practices with visualization tool usage
• Proactively raises awareness when issues arise that impact data tables, process or business metrics within their work stream
• Business lead for User Acceptance testing; has reputation of timely, error free work; identifies ways to prevent further systems issues
• Develops requirements by collaborating with business partners and translating needs for a specific business or data table.
  
  

Project & Stakeholder management:

• Effectively coordinates working sessions & facilitates interactions between business teams and/or IT (ex. Requirement review sessions, project status meetings & post-deployment feedback sessions); synthesizes and sends meeting recaps including next steps.
• Directs & executes on next steps to progress own work stream; identifies & recommends new opportunities to improve existing processes.
• Maintains up to date documentation of data/process dependencies for a lane of business and needed requirements/updates for data systems
• Proactively communicates around deadlines & roadblocks

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2-4 years experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study and 2 years’ experience OR applicable work experience
• Experience with data modeling in various data systems like Tableau and/or with data relationships and data migration from data repositories to source systems (ex. SQL, Netezza, Oracle) preferred
• Intermediate skill with SQL and understanding of relational database infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating the implementation of or updates to data systems, databases, etc. including stakeholder management, writing requirements and UAT testing
• Ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple, easily digestible manner to a range of audiences

Salary/ Wage Range

$55,000.00 - $91,000.00 / year

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
