Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Provide legal support and counsel in all matters related to supplier contracting by maintaining a deep understanding of the business, advising clients on legal risks, and assisting in development of creative solutions as a member of the team, not solely as a legal advisor
- Review, redline and negotiate a high volume and broad range of supplier contracts, including mater service agreements, procurement agreements, statements of work, consulting agreements, non-disclosure agreements, SAAS, software licensing and other IT-related agreements as well as other various goods and services agreements
- Provide valuable advice and counsel within the context of the broader business and enterprise level objectives to drive risk mitigation and negotiation strategies for key supplier relationships
- Independently manage and successfully prioritize competing work streams to achieve thoughtful, successful and timely results
- Continuously improve contracting processes, including creation and/or improvement of toolkits, playbooks and templates as well as evaluation and implementation of contract automation technologies in order to improve contracting efficiency, reduce deal cycle times and refine standard contract terms
- Understand and be able to translate into "plain English" the legal ramifications of varied legal issues (including regulatory requirements) and clearly and succinctly articulate the risks
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional groups and coordinate with other legal groups on regulatory, risk, compliance and operational issues
- Actively participate in team and organization meetings, events and initiatives
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A minimum of three years of commercial contracting experience or a combination of commensurate legal and industry work experience; in-house experience preferred, but not required
- A law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and State Bar Admission in good standing
- Ability to qualify as a Single Client Attorney if applicable
- Proven track record of working with diverse client groups and teams to achieve desired outcome
- Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with an acute ability to listen attentively and to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact at executive level with persuasiveness and confidence
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities with shifting time frames and tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently, shift focus, adapt to changing priorities, maintain patience in high pressure situations and take initiative where appropriate

$91,000.00 - $133,700.00 / year
