At Dawood Engineering, Inc., we provide multi-disciplined consulting services for a wide range of industries encompassing Land Development / Site Planning, Energy & Transportation.
Our engineers and professionals provide services including Civil Engineering, Stormwater Design, Bridge and Structural Engineering, Highway Design, Surveying and Mapping, Energy Facility Design, as well as provide Geotechnical/Geophysical, Environmental Studies and Water/Wastewater design.
We are currently seeking a CAD Technician to join our team in our Harrisburg, PA office location. As a CAD Technician you will support project managers and engineers in a wide array of projects by performing drafting & design needs. This may include anything from basic CAD drafting to more complex designing of roads and well pads utilizing advanced grading functions of the AutoCAD Civil3D program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize internal resources to create base maps: survey data, aerial imagery, road/highway location data, stream/wetland location data, etc.
- Prepare plans using Autodesk Civil3D including Title sheet, Plan sheets & Detail sheets
- Create site specific construction details
- Develop deliverables including Land Development Plans, Construction Plans & E&S Plans
- Assist with developing Post Construction Stormwater Management plans and corresponding reports as needed
- Identify possible design issues and constraints through local municipality ordinance review
- Calculate estimated quantities for contractor's bid
- Additional duties & responsibilities may be assigned, as needed, to meet the needs of Dawood
Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 2-4 years of relevant experience
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Design Technologies, Civil Engineering or related field of study
- Practical experience with CADD software; experience with Autodesk Civl3D is preferred
- Experience utilizing of Microsoft Suite applications
- Ability to work in a team / office environment with minimal supervision
- Proven communication skills (verbal & written)
- Self-motivated with ability to prioritize multiple project assignments
