SUMMARY: This work includes providing Biomedical Equipment Technician instructor support and training services for Biomedical Equipment Technician Program. This work is on-site at Joint Base San Antonio, Fort Sam Houston Military Education and Training Campus (METC)
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Conducting training and providing subject-matter expertise.
- Primary task is providing classroom or related instruction
- Perform the duties and tasks of an instructor for the 326-68A10 Biomedical Equipment Technician Program
- Conduct classroom and laboratory instruction
- Provide SME/scientific technical support
- Perform course administrative functions
- Perform typical training logistics activities
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Preferred a minimum two years of academic and experiential qualifications and backgrounds (identified in documented descriptions of roles and responsibilities) that are necessary to meet program objectives and the mission of the institution.
- Documented expertise in their area(s) of teaching responsibility and knowledge of the content delivery method (e.g., distance learning).
- Evidence of expertise in teaching assignments might include documentation of continuing professional development, relevant experience, faculty development plan reflecting acquisition of new content, incorporation of feedback from course evaluations, and other sources.
- Able to stand and walk around classroom/laboratory for 2 hours continuously and intermittently for 2 hours.
- Minimum Two years' work experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician.
- Instructor must be a graduate of the METC BMET Program or a graduate of a civilian equivalent program,
- Must hold an associate degree and
- Must have a minimum of two years of full-time work experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician.
- The qualification requirements for a Technical Instructors I (Medical Logistics) include:
- Preferred a minimum two years of academic and experiential qualifications and backgrounds (identified in documented descriptions of roles and responsibilities) that are necessary to meet program objectives and the mission of the institution.
- Documented expertise in their area(s) of teaching responsibility and knowledge of the content delivery method (e.g., distance learning).
- Evidence of expertise in teaching assignments might include documentation of continuing professional development, relevant experience, faculty development plan reflecting acquisition of new content, incorporation of feedback from course evaluations, and other sources.
