What you’ll be doing:
Inventory management of trees, flowers, patio furniture, etc. of up to 2 million dollars worth of product
Office job but will have to go out to the field to physically check inventory
Coordinates with yard staff on the job assignments and activities of Inventory Control staff
Collaborates with production managers to provide detailed analysis of inventory items that are timely and constructive
Executes, and drives daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems
Oversees stock item master, identifying incorrect descriptions and stock numbers
Item creation leader, coordinating with the purchasing manager
Challenges and validates fulfillments and receipts from process owners
Locates items that may have incorrect locations or stock numbers to assist order processors
Communicate with Purchasing and Yard Departments as needed regarding new items, changes of location, counts, etc.
Continuous improvement of internal control processes and tools
Review and verify counts, purchase-sales order alignments, receipts, and fulfillments by working with everyone to clarify transactions
Oversees inventory accuracy in CRM system from validation of external sources
Understanding of receiving and fulfillment lags in making adjustments
Ensure average cost accuracy
Understand inventory by location
Identify incorrect items from the general ledger perspective
Performs additional related duties as assigned
Who we’re looking for:
Landscape or Construction experience
Inventory experience
Experience with an inventory tracking system (company uses NetSuite)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
Thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures
Self-motivated with strong time management skills
Proficiency in NetSuite is a plus
Minimum of two years experience in inventory control or related experience
Horticultural knowledge or construction industry experience/knowledge
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
May be required to lift heavy materials exceeding 50 lbs.
May be required to stand, kneel, crouch, crawl, stoop, and bend for long periods
Required to use hands and reach with arms
Work may be required indoors and outdoors in areas that are dusty, dirty, in the rain, and muddy
