Day & Zimmermann is accepting applications for a Labor Relations Manager to support a new client, on-site in Tennessee.
Our Labor Relations Manager is responsible for managing labor relations activities and processes for the union shop business.

What you need to bring to the table:
Bachelor's Degree, or related field experience preferred
5 years of Labor Relations experience in a LR Specialist or Manager Role level capacity of an organization with over 5000 employees. 10 years of relative experience preferred.
In depth knowledge of Construction Management International Building Trades Agreements.
What You Will Be Doing:
Manage Labor Relations activities which will establish and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders at the direction of VP Labor Relations (i.e. Union leadership, internal customers, clients, Industry Labor management).
Work with VP Labor relations to everage Union relationships to maximize craft efficiency and effectiveness with proactive labor agreement negotiations, timely resolution of disputes, and practical change management plans for new initiatives.
Work constantly with project management and business agents to give direction on solutions to issues, and actively provide positive outcomes for all parties. The result is D&Z being recognized as the expert in the field of accurately projecting craft staffing gaps while maintaining our reputation as the single best Contractor to the NABTU.
Work with Site Leadership and VP Labor Relations to provide solutions to craft staffing gaps to develop strategies, implementation plans, and programs to identify the next generation of craft from a variety of sources, while coaching Project management teams on communication skills to Unions. Evaluate and advise on the potential of new programs/strategies/ regulations impacting D&Z's ability to attract, motivate, develop and retain craft resources.
Assume committee positions as assigned by or advocated by VP Labor Relations
