Time To Pet, a DaySmart company, is an Austin, TX based software company focused on building business management software for pet sitters and dog walkers. Our SaaS product is designed to help pet sitters and dog walkers start, grow and better manage their companies. At Time To Pet, product is essential to our mission. Delivering a stable, well designed, and constantly improving product is critical to our success. We are currently looking for a Sr. Software Developer who will be responsible for developing new features, maintaining the existing codebase and working directly with the co-founder and our small development team. As a Developer, you will be able to see your code's impact for thousands of local pet care providers who rely on Time To Pet to run their business in realtime.

You will be responsible for:
  • Maintaining the existing code base by fixing bugs and making improvements as needed.
  • Mapping real-world customer issues to product solutions.
  • Working directly with the Time To Pet founders and having a direct impact on the life of thousands of pet care professionals. We pride ourselves on being an enjoyable and balanced place to work. Requirements
  • As a small, highly productive team we value the ability to take initiative and be a self-starter above all else.
  • Significant experience building web apps with PHP.
  • Experience working on large codebases and are comfortable reading, debugging, and enhancing existing code.
  • A basic level of proficiency with vanilla JavaScript.
  • Experience with Laravel.
  • Proficiency in working with relational databases at scale.
  • Bonus Points (not required but would be hugely beneficial)
  • AlpineJS and/or jQuery experience (we are slowing migrating our old code away from jQuery but still have a large portion of it in production).
  • Experience developing cloud ready (AWS) products and/or migration products to the cloud.
  • Experience working remotely.
  • Knowledge of and experience building out a REST API.

How You Will Work
  • Time To Pet is a remote team with an office in Austin, TX.  We generally like to see the team once a week in the office but Time To Pet is built as a remote team first.
