Facility: Child Health Pavilion Department: School Based VI Schedule: Full time Hours: 40 Job Details: Dayton Children’s Hospital in collaboration with Dayton Public Schools is seeking passionate individuals to provide school-based therapy services to their students and families. The school-based therapist provides short term behavioral health services, following school-based CBT model, including diagnostic assessments, individual and family-based therapy, and crisis intervention as needed. Responsible for collaborating with youth and families in developing an individualized treatment plan that will specifically address identified areas of concern. Responsible for assisting youth and their families in understanding ways to effectively manage symptoms and behaviors attributed to the identified behavioral health diagnosis (es). Assists youth and families in effectively addressing complex personal and environmental difficulties which interfere with effective social functioning. Responsible for the delivery of clinical services which are available to the youth, the youth’s family, and other persons significant to the youth. Is able to work independently, is well organized and identifies opportunities to work collaboratively with other providers as warranted. The SBT demonstrates and models Dayton Children's values through effective interaction with youth, families, and treatment team members while providing excellent care. This is approximately a 10 month position.
