Dayton School District is seeking a High School Hospitality Teacher, grades 9-12. Salary based on experience and placement on licensed salary schedule. The purpose of the Hospitality Teacher is to perform under general supervision, to supervise and instruct students in assigned areas of vocational training and career development; to establish and maintain an orderly, safe, and well-disciplined classroom learning environment; and to perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Experience and/or knowledge with the following desired:
- Ability to collaborate with existing pathways and CTE teachers to provide cross-curricular opportunities for students.
- Implement the ProStart curriculum.
- Give input on classroom renovation and equipment purchases.
- Support student competitions.
- Build lasting partnerships with local employers and partners to provide Dayton students with authentic work experiences.
- Provide students with employable skills and a desire to pursue postsecondary options preparing them for higher paying jobs in Food Services and Hospitality.
- Utilize an itemized list of CTE Project costs to establish the new program for Dayton High School.
Qualifications Desired: Current CTE License, or ability to obtain a CTE license in the State of Oregon
