Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Supply Chain Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both supply chain management and data analysis, with a focus on leveraging data-driven insights to optimize supply chain operations. This individual will play a critical role in enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving overall performance within our supply chain network.
What will you enjoy doing (duties/tasks)
- Data Collection and Analysis: Gather, clean, and analyze large datasets related to various aspects of the supply chain, including inventory levels, demand forecasting, transportation costs, and supplier performance.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the performance of the supply chain. Regularly monitor KPIs and identify areas for improvement.
- Forecasting and Demand Planning: Utilize statistical techniques and demand forecasting models to predict future demand for products and raw materials. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate demand planning.
- Inventory Optimization: Optimize inventory levels across multiple locations to minimize stockouts, reduce excess inventory, and improve overall inventory turnover.
- Supplier Management: Analyze supplier performance metrics such as on-time delivery, lead times, and quality metrics. Identify opportunities to streamline the supplier base and negotiate favorable terms.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies within the supply chain and propose solutions to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.
- Data Visualization and Reporting: Create visually appealing dashboards and reports to communicate key insights and findings to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, logistics, operations, and finance to drive alignment and achieve common supply chain objectives.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in supply chain management and data analytics. Apply new knowledge to improve existing processes and methodologies.
What you need to succeed (Qualifications, experience, skills, attributes)
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Research, Data Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or related field, with a strong emphasis on data analysis and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Excel, SQL, Python, R, or similar.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Supply chain certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) are a plus.
