DBC Real Estate Management, LLC is a property management firm that acquires, owns and operates multifamily apartment complexes. At DBC, we aspire to Do Best in Class property management to support workforce housing. Our company has approximately eighty employees across four states and has growth aspirations to reach one hundred in the next two years. The ability to work collaboratively with finance and operations is a requirement for the newly hired individual and thus, must be accustomed to an agile and adaptable work environment.
Hours of operation: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., 40 hours a week. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
Responsible for designing and deploying a comprehensive human capital plan for the organization including talent, recruitment, time and attendance, benefits and 401K.
Creating recruitment plans, interview schedules and evaluation standards in accordance with HR methodologies and labor laws
Administering biweekly payroll processes and procedures
Performing routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Implementing new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
Screening potential candidates through initial interviews.
Creating and presenting offer and rejection letters to candidates, running background tests, and conducting reference checks and other assessments as necessary.
Suggesting changes in policies and procedures based on employee and company needs.
Researching compensation standards set by industry and governing bodies in order to create salary structures and administer employee benefits.
Supervising all HR activities, communications, reports, requests and documents.
Handling all types of employee inquiries and issues, ensuring employees follow all policies and procedures.
Assisting with interoffice communication, training, and oversight.
Ensuring we are hiring, developing, and retaining our best people.
Serves as a subject matter expert in collaboration with other HR initiatives.
Overseeing exit interviews and procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is required. Degree in human recourses or a related field.
3 years of Talent Acquisition/Recruiting experience required.
Payroll administration and time and attendance experience in multiple jurisdictions.
Experience in customer service, hotel, or retail, preferably property management experience a plus.
Strong organizational skills as well as attention to detail required.
Results oriented with strong execution skills.
Ability to respect and maintain confidential information.
Experience managing data and working in an HRIS such as Paycor preferred.
SHRM certification preferred.
