Davis Behavioral Health is seeking part-time clinicians (LCSW/CMHC/MFT) to work in the Davis County Receiving Center located in Layton, Utah. The pool of successful candidates will work jointly to cover the swing shift clinical needs for the program.
The Davis County Receiving Center is a 23-72 hour alternative to inpatient hospitalization or incarceration that specializes in short-term crisis resolution. This facility provides observation, screening and social detoxification for police drop-offs, emergency department transfers and walk-in crisis services. The primary purpose of the Receiving Center is to provide a short length of stay and a focus on stabilizing the crisis and returning a person to community supports.
The successful candidates will provide risk assessments, evaluations, safety plans, treatment plans and recommendations for treatment. The successful candidate will be trained and able to complete ASAM dimension criteria as part of the evaluation process?
The RC therapist will have experience working in a crisis setting, be able to complete risk assessments, safety plans and evaluations within a brief period of time and make clinical recommendations for continued care. The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of completing and executing a pink sheet.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary treatment team to include psychiatrists, nurses, recovery support specialists, psych techs and case managers.
Schedule/Shifts
The swing shift at the Receiving Center is 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
The start time and end times for the successful candidates may be
flexible in an effort to best allow this position to work as a
moonlighting opportunity for clinicians looking to compliment other
professional positions. The amount of the shift payment will be
prorate if the successful candidate's shift is less than 8 hours.
To ensure desired clinical coverage, it is preferred if the part-time swing shift therapist work until 11:00 pm on the days they are scheduled. The successful part-time candidates must work less than 30 hours per week.
Classification/Compensation
This position is classified as full-time, exempt. The salary
structure for these specific positions is a hybrid base rate salary
plus incentive model.
Base Rate
The part-time swing shift clinician will be compensated on a
per-shift basis that is caclulated is calculated using a starting
hourly rate of $33.65 per hour plus credit for years of
full-licensure experience.
Differential
All clinicians at DBH whose regularly schedule shift is on a
swing shift, graveyard shift, or weekend are eligible for a $5.00
per hour differential, which is built in to the shift compensation above.
Under-licensed Clinicians (CSW/ACMHC/AMFT)
The shift compensation for under-licensed clinicians is $230 per 8-hour shift.

Minimum Qualifications
Master of Social Work degree from an accredited university. Preference given to candidates licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Utah. This position may also be filled with a Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC), Marriage & Family Therapist (MFT) or under-filling with a Certified Social Worker (CSW) or Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor (ACMHC) who is nearing completion of full clinical licensure.
The selected candidate must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening. DBH will not hire individuals currently using illegal drugs or abusing alcohol; therefore, making employment at DBH conditional upon successfully passing pre-employment drug screening by providing a valid sample. Candidates who are offered employment are required to report for a drug screen at an Intermountain WorkMed location within 24 hours of being requested to do so by the DBH Human Resources Department.
Davis Behavioral Health works with Federal grants and must comply with the Federal drug laws, including no use of medical marijuana.
Davis Behavioral Health utilizes an electronic medical record, which requires proficiency in computer-related skills.
Part-time positions at DBH are not eligible to participate in the agency's benefits program.
