Description:
As an Ideal candidate you will be able to work independently or in a team environment. Your ability to evaluate and analyze complex information is second to none. Candidate will be primarily work on the companies contracts and proposals. Preparing modifications, responding to Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Requests for Information (RFI) from our federal customers, and develop manuals, tutorials and documentation for ERP, CRM, E-Commerce and other web based related applications.
Objectives of this Role
- Write proposal content, including technical sections, management and staffing sections, resumes, and executive summaries.
- Review and edit sections drafted by other contributors.
- Assist in the recruitment process.
- Synthesize raw content from various sources into a cohesive and comprehensive passage.
- Ensure final submission is compliant with regulations and instructions in the solicitation.
- To ensure our contracts are updated and we remain compliant.
- Respond to Request for Proposals and Request for Information from our federal customers
- Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards
- Obtain a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content
- Develop and maintain detailed databases of appropriate reference materials for team members
- Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Respond to Request for Proposals and Request for Information from our customers
- Prepare and manage contract modifications for all GSA & CMAS Schedules
- Assist in developing and responding to various government proposals
- Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
- Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field
- 2-4 years’ industry experience as an effective technical writer
- Minimum 2 years' proposal management experience (preferably within Public Sector) is required
- Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and common Government RFP requirements
- Background with State, Local, and Education (SLED) and/or Federal Contracting preferred
- Microsoft Office Advanced Skills, SharePoint, Excellent communication (verbal and written)
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Previous experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization
- Experience using XML tools to create documentation
- Computer operations, application development and technical support experience is desirable.
- High on initiative and demonstrates a keen desire to keep up with technology and displays a self-learning attitude
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate independently and cope with a highly challenging environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,425.00 - $65,000.00 per year
